We lift the building over fences and walls and set it down on the prepared base, exactly where you’ve marked it. Up to 6ft is routine. Often more, depending on the weight and the angle of approach.
Why a garden building needs a Hiab
A garden building arrives in one of two ways: as a flat-packed kit on a pallet, or as a pre-assembled unit. Either way, it’s heavy, bulky and needs to end up somewhere a vehicle can’t reach.
If it’s flat-packed, the pallet still needs to go to the back garden — and a standard wagon can’t place it there. If it’s pre-assembled, the whole building has to be craned over the house, the fence or the boundary hedge. That’s a Hiab job from start to finish.

- The Hiab loads it — pre-assembled units are craned onto the bed.
- We drive to the delivery address.
- The Hiab lifts the building over any obstacles — fences, walls, hedges, houses.
- We set it down exactly where you’ve marked, on the prepared base.

- Building dimensions and weight (or the model — we can usually look it up)
- Where it needs to land — the prepared base, patio, or specific spot
- Any access notes — fence height, distance from where the truck can park, soft ground, overhead obstacles
