Why a Hiab is right for plant
Plant machines are heavy, awkward and often need placing in tight spots. A standard wagon needs a ramp or a forklift at both ends. The Hiab loads itself and unloads itself.
That matters most when:
- The pickup depot has no handling gear
- The drop-off site has no forklift
- The machine needs placing in a tight yard or behind a building
- The site has soft ground or restricted access
- The machine is being returned at the end of a hire
What we move
- Mini diggers — 1 to 3 tonne, common on landscaping and small building jobs
- Micro diggers — 800kg to 1.5 tonne, often used for domestic work
- Excavators — up to 8 tonne, depending on reach and placement
- Dumpers — 1 to 6 tonne
- Compressors and generators — usually pallet-mounted or on their own skid
- Pumps — including submersible and surface-mounted
- Scissor lifts — awkward, heavy, and hard to place by hand

- Machine weight and dimensions (or model number — we can look it up)
- Pickup address and postcode
- Drop-off address and postcode
- Where it needs to land — on the ground, on a hard standing, in a specific spot
- Any access notes — soft ground, narrow lanes, tight yards, fences to lift over

We’re based in Watford and cover Hertfordshire, Greater London and the Home Counties as standard. From there, we work UK-wide. Plant moves for building sites, landscaping jobs and hire returns are routine.
